The construction of the Sunica.plus cell is based upon the Saft pocket plate technology but with special features to enhance its use in the specialized photovoltaic application. Sunica.plus is optimized to give the best combination of performances:

Operation in extreme temperatures: -20°C to +50°C (-4°F to 122°F) but can tolerate
  extremes of temperatures of -50°C to +70°C (-58°F to +158°F)
Long cycle life
Charge efficiency: performs at any charge of charge
Cycling: achieves 8 000 cycles at 15% depth of discharge
Low maintenance: more than 4 years without topping-up
Specifically rated for discharge times from hours to days

Capacity range of 45 Ah to 1110 Ah.

Configuration

The Saft block battery range is composed of modular pocket plate cells in shock-resistant polypropylene containers welded together into blocks by heat sealing - up to 10 cells blocks. An automated integral water filling system is provided as an option.

Pocket plate technology

The positive and negative electrodes consist of perforated steel pockets that are interlaced and pressed into a base to form a very strong plate.
